Spectacular scenery in Northern Ireland is hard to avoid, such as the Giant's Causeway, The Antrim Coast Road, the Fermanagh Lakelands and the Mountains of Mourne. The famous Mount Stewart House and Gardens, Old Bushmills Distillery, Museums, the pottery at Belleek and the many historical towns. We will have a very full programme. We will return to Dublin for Friday night and join the ferry for the return journey on Saturday. If you are interested in this trip please let me know and forward your deposit of £100 per person.

Morpeth, an attractive market town, the seaside village of Banburgh which is dominated by the magnificent Banburgh Castle. just offshore are the Farne Islands which provide a major breeding sanctuary for migratory seabirds and are aslo home to a large colony of Arctic Grey Seals. Boat trips are available to see the above from Seahouses, a lovely fishing port with an extremely interesting harbour. Of course, the more well known towns of Durham and Carlisle also are extremely interesting. If you wish to take part in this trip a £100 per person deposit will secure your place.

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

3 days

We will stay at the Daventry Hotel, Daventry. The cost will be £148 per person for a double/twin room and £198 per person for a single room. This weekend trip is a break from the past, in that on the Sunday we will have lunch and tea (included in the cost) at the Wickstead park Pavillion, Kettering, see a show from Australasian tour of Miss Saigon, David Kettle and the wonderful voice of Kate Ashby, comedian Richard C. Parker and the very talented Wicksteed Dancers. I think you will find this break a pleasant change fro the usual seasonal rush leading up to Christmas. A £25 per person deposit will secure your place.

Please Note:

We require day trips to be paid in full. If for any reason you have to cancel we will make a refund only if we can fill your seat.

A non refundable deposit of £25 is required for each person when booking a holiday. Should you have to cancel after you have paid your final bill you must reclaim the cost from your own annual travel policy.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Whilst Janet and Vanessa take great care in looking after members on our trips, The Society can not be held responsible for any loss or injury suffered by a member.

We feel we must remind all members who travel with us that Holiday Insurance is the responsibility of the individual. We would strongly recommend that once you have booked and paid your deposit you take out insurance. If you are going on several holidays this year it is often cheaper to take out an annual policy, renewable each year. Once the Society has paid over deposits or the balance of holiday payments we cannot give a refund unless we can re sell the place.

It would be up to you to make a claim on your insurance as the Society cannot be held responsible. There are many companies who offer reasonably priced holiday insurance, The Post Office, Bradford & Bingley, Saga, Zurich, Age Concern to name but a few.

E111 FORMS/EUROPEAN HEALTH INSURANCE CARDS

When travelling abroad to EEC countries it is necessary to have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which replaces the old E111 form, for any health cover that you may need. If you have not yet received your new EHIC card automatically, you can get a form from the Post Office to reapply. You can apply by post, by phone or online.
