Details of Meetings

Our meetings are held at St. John Fisher Church Hall, Thanet Road, Bexley, Kent on the 3rd or 4th Tuesday in every month except December. The hall will be open from 7-15pm and the meetings last from 8pm until 10pm with a break for tea, coffee and biscuits at 9pm. There is ample on and off street parking. See map below.

We hold a raffle each evening at a cost of 50p per strip of tickets.

There are often old gardening magazines for members to take, giving a small donation for our designated charity. Members may bring their own old magazines to dispose of in this way.

Monthly Rose Table Show.

Members may bring their roses to exhibit each month from June to October. This is designed to practice staging ready for the Summer Show. There are two divisions, Experienced and Novice. Each division consists of 3 classes.
The classes are :-

* Hybrid Tea. A vase containing 1 bloom.
* Floribunda or Cluster Rose. A vase containing 1 stem
* Miniature Roses. A vase containing 3 stems.

All vases are supplied. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places are awarded points and the member with the most points in each division at the end of the season wins a cup to be kept for a year.

Floral Art Table Show

Members may bring an exhibit measuring 12"x12" prepared at home and artificial and fresh material may be used. This show is designed to help members prepare for the Summer Show. There will be a different subject each month and entries are judged by the members putting coins into a pot. The exhibit that has the most number of coins, not the greatest value of money, will be judged the winner. The money collected will go to our designated charity. The season runs from April to November.

Please arrive before 8.00pm if you are entering the table shows in order that the setting up can be completed before the meeting starts.

Our Designated Charity

After many years of supporting the Greenwich and Bexley Hospice it was felt that much smaller charities could do with our support. We have decided to support a different charity each year and our choice this year is Woodlands Farm Trust, Shooters Hill, Welling, Kent.

Location of Meeting Hall:-
